VinPassed2019 Ram 1500 BIG Horn
VIN: 1C6RREFT7KN684442
β’ 83,014 miles(reported)
Reliability score adjusted to 3 stars based on documented model-level concerns now that all factory warranties are expired. An inspection should specifically evaluate the exhaust manifold, engine valvetrain, electrical systems, and transmission behavior before purchase.
Confidence Factors
This report answers the 4 questions buyers actually care about.
Safety
β β Β½ββHas this vehicle been in an accident? Is it safe to drive?
We checked accident reports, title brands, structural damage, and open recalls.
No accidents are on record for this vehicle, which is a genuine positive β but 22 open federal safety recalls, including one covering airbag inflator rupture risk and one covering front seat belt retractor failure in a crash, are the defining safety facts here.
Reliability
β β β ββHas it been maintained? Will it become a money pit?
We looked at service records, maintenance gaps, and known model issues.
19 documented service records at 83,014 miles represents a well-maintained truck with an on-schedule maintenance history β but industry reliability data for this generation flags exhaust manifold cracking, valve lifter/camshaft wear, and electrical faults as recurring concerns now that all factory coverage has expired.
Ownership
β β β β Β½Am I getting scammed? How was this vehicle actually used?
We examined owner count, usage type, and how long each owner kept it.
One owner across 7.7 years at 11,859 miles per year is a clean, unremarkable ownership profile β single-owner personal use with normal mileage is one of the more favorable patterns in a used vehicle history.
Value
β β β β βAm I going to overpay or get burned financially?
We compared auction cost, asking price, title impact, and market position.
A clean title, no auction history, no accident damage, and mileage sitting nearly 22,000 miles below average for its age are all value-supportive facts β the primary financial exposure on this truck is the cost of any mechanical repairs that fall outside the now-expired factory warranties.
Vehicle Intelligence
What does this mean for this vehicle?
The most pressing fact on this vehicle is 22 open federal safety recalls β including an airbag curtain inflator rupture risk and a front seat belt retractor that may fail to lock in a crash β all of which remain unresolved and are correctable for free at any authorized franchise dealer. Industry reliability data rates the 2019 Ram 1500 below average for its model year, with exhaust manifold failure, hydraulic valve lifter and camshaft wear, and electrical system faults documented across multiple authoritative sources β concerns that are relevant now that all factory warranties have expired at 83,014 miles. The confidence score reflects a truck with a strong ownership profile and clean title offset by a meaningful unresolved recall burden and a reliability record that warrants inspection before purchase.

In the event that cruise control cannot be disengaged while driving, owners should firmly and steadily apply the brakes and shift the transmission to neutral, placing the vehicle in park once it has stopped.
Campaign 18V332000 β 2018-05-22
Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.
RISK
If the vehicle maintains its speed or accelerates despite attempts to deactivate the cruise control, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
REMEDY
Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the software, and perform a software flash on the engine or powertrain control module, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Note: Owners are advised to stop using cruise control until the software update has been performed. In the event that cruise control cannot be disengaged while driving, owners should firmly and steadily apply the brakes and shift the transmission to neutral, placing the vehicle in park once it has stopped.

An adjustable brake pedal assembly that allows the brake pedal adjustment to over travel could cause the brake pedal to become separated from the pedal assembly.
If the brake pedal separates from the adjustable pedal assembly, the driver may be unable to use the brake pedal to apply the service brakes, which can cause vehicle crash without prior warning.
Fca us will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles to repair the adjustable pedal assembly.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a 2019 Ram 1500 a reliable used truck?+
The record on this specific truck is strong: one owner over 7.7 years, 19 documented services, clean title, and mileage about 22,000 below the average for its age. Model-level, federal complaint data for the 2019 Ram 1500 shows 1,425 complaints led by steering (244) and powertrain (100), with electrical issues the most broadly reported ownership experience. That's the value of checking the VIN rather than the model: this report shows how one well-kept example sits against its model-year patterns.
How many recalls does the 2019 Ram 1500 have, and are they serious?+
This VIN has 24 open federal recalls in the report on this page, including a curtain airbag inflator recall and a seat belt retractor recall β none confirmed completed at a dealer. Some are serious safety items; all are repaired free of charge at any franchised Ram dealer once the work is done. The report separates recalls that apply to this configuration from ones that only apply with optional equipment, so the count is real rather than inflated.
Should I buy a used truck that has open recalls?+
Open recalls aren't a reason to walk away by themselves β repairs are free at a franchise dealer β but they are verifiable, documentable facts about the truck at the time of sale. The report on this page shows how they read on a real VIN: what each campaign is, the risk it addresses, and the remedy, so a buyer can ask the seller for completion documentation or plan the dealer visit before money changes hands.
What does a one-owner truck with full service records look like in a history report?+
Scroll this page β this is one. The timeline shows the ownership record, every documented service with the work performed, registration history, and odometer readings in sequence. When a seller says 'one owner, always maintained,' this is what the record looks like when that's true.
Is this a real vehicle history report?+
Yes β a complete, unedited VinPassed report generated on a real VIN through the same pipeline as a purchased report, published as a sample. If the depth fits what you need, pricing for your own VIN is on the pricing page.
